Prof. Paolo Tecilla received the Angelo Mangini Medal for his contribution to supramolecular chemistry and in particular to metal catalysed hydrolytic reactions, fluorescence chemosensors, and transport systems in biomimetic membranes.
Dr. Pierangelo Gobbo was awarded the Giacomo Ciamician Medal for leading the application of organic and materials chemistry concepts to the construction of bio-inspired compartmentalised systems called “protocells” and their controlled assembly into tissue-like materials.
